Why might visits not match my in-store counts?

There are several reasons:


  • Sampling — Pathzz BI extrapolates from subscribers, not the entire population.
  • Dwell time filters — very short stops (e.g., passing by) may be excluded.
  • Location Data Accuracy - All data is rounded and generalized to protect privacy and avoid over-precision.
  • Attribution — in dense retail areas, overlapping signals may be assigned to the nearest or most probable location.
  • Event traffic — sudden surges may be smoothed out by algorithmic modeling.


The purpose is not to replicate exact counts, but to provide comparable, directional insights across all locations.
